92nd Y

Extremely grateful for the opportunity to creating and present some old and new ideas at the 92nd Y on June 8th In NYC.

TREEMONISHA

Excited to be the choreographer for this opera at Opera theater St. Louis. “Sometimes out of the deepest tragedy springs the greatest hope. Embark on a life-affirming journey of love and creativity in Scott Joplin’s opera Treemonisha, re-imagined with a new prologue and epilogue by composer Damien Sneed and librettist Karen Chilton. As Joplin celebrates his wedding to his new bride, Freddie Alexander, he is inspired to write a masterpiece — with Freddie as his muse. His heroine will be called Treemonisha, and she will lead her community into a bright and bountiful future of education, opportunity, and prosperity.”

Movement At the Still Point

Truly honored to be in this new book by Mark Mann and Loni Landon featuring dancers from all backgrounds Ballet, Boys and girls, Salsa, Hip hop, Contemporary and more. The book was released with a performance on April 10 at the Joyce Theater and I had the privilege to perform for Francesca Harper and Karla Garcia. You can grab a book through the site or at Rizzoli.

Spring Dances Juillard

Co setting City of Rain with Mora-Amina Parker for Camille A. Brown was a treat. Going to Highschool across the street it was an honor to work with these young artist for a piece that means so much to me. City of Rain was one of the first pieces I saw of Camille that drew me into her story telling. To now setting at one of the best Conservatories in the world is mind-blowing.
